Menteri Perindustrian Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita buka suara mengapa pemerintah masih menahan Apple untuk menjual produk terbarunya secara langsung di Indonesia, yakni iPhone 16.
Dalam Rapat Kerja seluruh Kementerian/Lembaga dan Badan Usaha anggota Pokja Tim Nasional Penggunaan Produk Dalam Negeri (P3DN), Agus mengungkapkan bahwa Apple belum memenuhi syarat yang ditetapkan oleh pemerintah.
“Terkait isu yang sedang ramai beredar di masyarakat yaitu telepon seluler iPhone 16 dari Apple yang belum bisa masuk ke pasar Indonesia, karena masih dalam proses pengurusan sertifikat TKDN yang menjadi salah satu syarat importasi telepon seluler tersebut,” kata Agus di Jakarta, Selasa (8/10/2024)
Berdasarkan Permenperin No. 29 Tahun 2017 tentang Ketentuan dan Tata Cara Penghitungan Nilai Komponen Dalam Negeri Produk Telepon Seluler, Komputer Genggam, dan Komputer Tablet, penghitungan TKDN dapat dilakukan menggunakan tiga skema.
“Yaitu skema manufaktur atau pembuatan produk di dalam negeri, kemudian skema aplikasi atau pembuatan aplikasi di dalam negeri, atau skema pengembangan inovasi di dalam negeri. Dalam hal ini, skema yang digunakan Apple adalah melalui skema pengembangan inovasi tersebut,” kata Agus.
Sayangnya, saat ini Apple sudah tidak memiliki izin untuk menjual produknya lagi karena ada izin TKDN yang belum terpenuhi.
“Sebelumnya Apple telah mendapatkan sertifikat TKDN, tetapi masa berlakunya sudah habis sehingga harus diperpanjang,” kata Agus.
