Presiden Prabowo Subianto menegaskan bahwa dia tidak menghentikan proyek infrastruktur baru. Dia hanya mengubah skema pembangunan proyek infrastruktur yang akan didominasi oleh swasta.
“Saya akan memberikan peran yang lebih besar ke swasta. Ada yang bilang saya menghentikan proyek-proyek infrastruktur itu tidak benar. Saya merubah (pembangunan) infrastruktur sebagian besar swasta yang bangun,” tegas Prabowo saat menghadiri Musyawarah Nasional Konsolidasi Persatuan Kadin Indonesia di The Ritz-Carlton, Jakarta di Hotel Ritz Carlton Jakarta, Kamis (16/1/2025).
Prabowo menegaskan bahwa porsi swasta akan lebih besar dari BUMN untuk pembangunan infrastruktur. Dia menilai hal ini jauh lebih efisien.
“Swasta lebih efisien. Jadi jalan tol, pelabuhan, bandara saya serahkan ke swasta, swasta bergerak semua,” sebutnya.
“Terutama di bidang infrastruktur, kita serahkan ke swasta biar berperan lebih kita harapkan mereka lebih efisien tepat waktu inovatif, dan bisa membawa pertumbuhan dimana-mana,” tutup Prabowo.
Sebelumnya, Anggota Badan Pengatur Jalan Tol (BPJT) Unsur Pemangku Kepentingan Sony Sulaksono Wibowo mengungkapkan sejumlah proyek infrastruktur baru akan ditunda dulu pembangunannya. Ini disebabkan karena adanya perintah langsung dari Presiden Prabowo Subianto. Hal ini berdampak pada proyek tol.
“Semua proyek tol yang memang belum berjalan berhenti dulu. Sebenarnya ada beberapa yang masih kajian ya,” ungkap Anggota Badan Pengatur Jalan Tol (BPJT) Unsur Pemangku Kepentingan Sony Sulaksono Wibowo di Media Gathering Nataru 2024/2025 ASTRA Infra Group di Amanaia Menteng, Jakarta, Selasa lalu dikutip Kamis (26/12/2024).
