Pemerintahan Presiden Prabowo Subianto bakal membangun proyek Giant sea wall atau tanggul laut raksasa. Program ini bahkan masuk ke dalam quick wins atau proyek strategis yang masuk ke dalam prioritas.
“Dulu kan pernah dibahas dengan Menko Perekonomian. Nah nanti tentu harus dilakukan secara masif dari Tangerang ke Gresik,” kata Wakil Menteri Pekerjaan Umum Diana Kusumastuti, Selasa (3/12/2024).
Saat ini proses yang berlangsung ialah memprioritaskan pembangunan di wilayah terdekat dengan Jakarta yakni pesisir Utara Jakarta. Sayangnya hingga kini belum diketahui panjang pasti Giant sea wall serta anggarannya.
“Ya sekarang kan Tangerang sudah, Tangerang sampai Pluit. Nanti dilanjut terus, mesti harus kita lihat dulu secara master plan panjangnya seperti apa, ini lagi dikaji,” sebut Diana.
Lebih jauh Ia menjelaskan proyek ini sama dengan National Capital Integrated Coastal Development (NCICD).
“Sama. NCICD itu sama giant sea wall juga,” kata Diana.
Ada beberapa klaster di Jakarta Utara yang masuk dalam rencana penyelesaian tanggul NCICD, mulai dari Klaster Sunda Kelapa sampai Klaster Pantai Mutiara.
Berlanjut ke arah timur ke wilayah Jawa Tengah, proyek ini bakal berlanjut termasuk dengan proyek jalan tol Semarang-Demak. Jalan tol ini merupakan jalan tol pertama di Indonesia yang dibangun di atas tanggul laut.
“Iya itu bertahap nanti kan disambungkan (dengan tol Semarang-Demak),” sebut Diana.
